Dry chemistry, is an analytical technology based on the use of lyophilized reagents that rehydrates only at the time of analysis, with the addition of the sample (serum, plasma or whole blood). This technology brings two main advantages: long reagent expirations, allows the operator to use it in a long time, the stability of the lyophilized reagent, much greater than the liquid one, avoids oxidation and consequently precision in the analysis of the samples. To this end, this technology is more precise and more versatile than others are. The stability, sensitivity and speed of the response are the main features of this analytical approach.
Chemi2V is an automatic analyzer, used in both human and veterinary, based on the principle of dry chemistry and therefore suitable for small routines. Given its versatility, its size and ease of use, it is suitable for clinics, veterinary clinics, hospital wards, emergency rooms, medical offices and itinerant facilities such as ambulances and field hospitals. Working by profiles and thus facilitating the diagnosis, it is an indispensable tool for visiting the specialist doctor. The instrument consists of an optical reader, a touch screen display and connects to a PC with large memory; in fact, it manages to archive over 50,000 reports.
Each rotor is hermetically sealed and barcoded, allowing the recognition of the chosen profile and avoiding errors by the operator. Not only, from the barcode the instrument will also read the calibration curve master avoiding accessory costs. It does not require maintenance as the mechanics reduces to almost zero and does not need consumables. The possibility of carrying out analyzes on whole blood gives the possibility of avoiding the use of specific test tubes or centrifuges. Chemi2V has a Bluetooth, WLAN, Ethernet and USB port, thanks to which it is possible to connect PC or printer for final reporting.
The procedure for its use is extremely simple:
- Opening the package containing the rotor
- Reading the rotor barcode thanks to the integrated reader
- Insertion of 100µL of sample (whole blood, serum or plasma)
- Inserting the previously prepared rotor inside the instrument
- Patient identification (name, surname, gender)
- Starting the instrument
The chemi2V performs a complete patient profile in about 10 minutes, with panels of targeted biochemical profiles. There are several panels, which as mentioned above, facilitate diagnosis by the doctor or authorized personnel.
