Operating Protocol
- Sample Preparation: Collect approximately 100 µL of heparinized whole blood (using exclusively lithium heparin as anticoagulant), plasma, or serum. Whole blood samples that are not analyzed immediately must be protected from direct light exposure to prevent total bilirubin degradation, which could induce analytical variance. Gently invert the heparinized tube several times prior to testing to homogenize the biological specimen. Perform the assay within 60 minutes of collection.
- Rotor Loading: If using Type A format, pre-dispense 430 µL of diluent (sterile water for injection) into the designated diluent port. If using Type B format, simply peel off the protective aluminum foil sealing the integrated diluent container. Transfer 100 µL of biological sample directly into the single-use MNCHIP rotor. Initiate the test session within 10 minutes of specimen loading to avoid kinetic alterations.
- Automated Processing: Insert the disc into the Celercare V or Pointcare V analyzer. The system fully automates centrifugation, microfluidic capillary movement, and spectrophotometric absorbance measurement, calculating and printing precise analyte concentrations within 12 minutes.
