Scientific Description
The VECHEK Ehrlichia Canis Ab rapid test is an indirect lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection of anti-Ehrlichia canis antibodies in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. It serves as an essential diagnostic aid for identifying past exposure or active infections caused by Ehrlichia species, typically transmitted by tick vectors. Intended exclusively for professional veterinary clinical use.
Operating Protocol
- Bring test cassette, specimen, and assay buffer to room temperature (15-30 °C) prior to testing.
- Ensure whole blood, serum, or plasma samples are clean and non-hemolyzed.
- Transfer 1 drop (approx. 10 µL) of specimen into the sample well (S).
- Immediately add 3 drops (approx. 80 µL) of assay buffer into the sample well (S).
- Start the timer and read the result between 5 and 10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.
