The Vechek Giardia Lamblia Rapid Test is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection of Giardia lamblia antigen in canine and feline fecal specimens. The test is specifically engineered to identify both life stages of the parasite: trophozoites (commonly present in diarrheic stool) and cysts (frequently shed in formed stool), offering a comprehensive diagnostic aid and detection support for clinical veterinary settings.
Operating Protocol
- Collection: Collect approximately 50 mg of fecal sample (about the size of a pea) using the collection swab or 2 drops of liquid sample into the extraction buffer tube.
- Mixing: Agitate the extraction tube thoroughly and allow it to stand for 2 minutes for optimal specimen extraction.
- Execution: Dispense 2 drops of the extracted supernatant into the sample well (S) of the test cassette.
- Reading: Interpret the result at 10 minutes. Do not read or interpret results after 20 minutes.
