The Vechek Dirofilaria Ag (CHW) rapid test cassette is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of circulating Dirofilaria immitis (canine heartworm) antigens in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. Utilizing highly specific antibodies pre-coated on the membrane, this test serves as an essential diagnostic support tool for ambulatory screening and seasonal prevention management of canine cardiopulmonary dirofilariasis. Exclusively intended for professional veterinary clinical use.
Professional Operating Protocol
- Bring test cassette, assay buffer, and specimens to room temperature (15-30 °C) prior to testing.
- For Serum / Plasma: Transfer 1 drop (approx. 40 µL) into the sample well (S), then immediately add 2 drops of assay buffer (approx. 80 µL).
- For Whole Blood: Transfer 2 drops (approx. 80 µL) into the sample well (S), followed immediately by 2 drops of assay buffer (approx. 80 µL).
- Start the timer and read the result precisely at 10 minutes.
- Do not interpret results after 20 minutes.
